For 20 years Jessica Van der Veen acted and directed in film, television, and theatre, performing in dozens of productions.  Jessica built a successful career as an acting teacher in Vancouver, teaching at Gastown Actors’ Studio and later at the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria. After a  hiatus to pursue her passion for social justice and stewardship, Jessica returns as an acting teacher and coach based in Victoria BC.
 
I look forward to coaching students as they create their own projects about the life of Canadian women in politics.  I look forward to using my experience both as a political candidate and working in film and television in support of Dancing Backwards.
