I am grateful to be a visitor on the land of the Coast Salish and Straits Salish people and their diverse communities where I live, work, and raise my family. Born and raised in Monterrey, México, my career in education and related fields spans almost thirty years with participation in a broad range of educational, community service, and research activities. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor facilitating courses on Indigenous education, pedagogy, and epistemology in the Faculty of Education at the University of Victoria, British Columbia.
